Please be aware that if you are or were a company director as at April 2022 or thinking about becoming a director, you will need to apply for a Director’s ID. You will need a smart phone and firstly apply for a MyGovID (not MyGov) account and then apply for your Director’s ID online. It doesn’t matter if the company is deregistered or insolvent you will still need to apply. Please email me your Director’s ID number as soon as you receive it to [email protected]. The application cut-off date is 30 November 2022 and after that fines may then be applied. If you do not have a smart phone you will need to ring ASIC on 1300 300 630 to confirm your identification documents. The wait time will probably be in excess of 30 minutes at this late date.
